What is a Life Coach?
Last modified: January 19, 2010Life coaching is a goal orientated co-active partnership.
The client has a self defined objective such as: to improve spiritual balance, get the most benefit from a Sabbatical, improve their relationship, start a new business, or enjoy their family more.
The coach is a none judgmental sounding board who helps monitor your progress and asks the vital questions to ensure you are in tune with your reality and moving forward towards your goal.
Each coaching session will be focused on an area you decide you want to improve, it will consider the progress you have made so far and if there are thought patterns which are blocking your progress. The coach will ask important questions to allow you to look at the situation from all angles in a balanced way with clarity.
Your responsibilities following your coaching sessions will be to full fill the agreed upon goals for that week/month.
An important element of the life coaching partnership is the written agreement which will be covered in the first free session.
It is also important to note what life coaching is not which is a form of counselling or therapy.
