How Coaching works Find out more about the coaching process
The coaching process is a co-active partnership. The coach is none judgemental and is not a resource for advice or direction, Coaches are rather a supportive sounding board using techniques and skills to challenge, stimulate and guide in the process of decision making and goal setting.
Coaching Agreement
An important element of the life coaching partnership is the written agreement or Coaching agreement . A commitment is always the first step to change.
The Client
Anyone can enlist the help of a coach. As children self improve with the help of teachers and parents. A coach is a great resource in reaching life or work objectives.
The Coaching Inquiry
The client has a self defined objective such as: to be more happy with what I have, to improve spiritual balance and reduce stress, get the most benefit from a Sabbatical, return to studies, improve a relationship, start a new business, or maybe enjoy your family more.
The Coach
Is a qualified, none judgmental sounding board, who helps monitor your progress and asks the vital questions to ensure you are in tune with your reality and moving forward towards your goal.
Each Coaching Session
Will be focused on an area you decide you want to improve, it will consider the progress you have made so far and if there are thought patterns which are blocking your progress. The coach will ask important questions to allow you to look at the situation from all angles in a balanced way with clarity. Using an array of tools and techniques.
Between Sessions
It is essential that you acted upon agreed actions discussed during the sessions.
Your Responsibilities
Following your coaching session it is paramount that you fulfil the agreed upon action steps discussed during the session for that coming week/month.
What Coaching Is Not
A form of counselling, therapy or an advice service
Some definitions of coaching from the literature:
“Coaching Psychology is for enhancing well-being and performance in personal life and work domains, underpinned by models of coaching grounded in established adult learning or psychological approaches,” (adapted Grant and Palmer, 2002)
“A collaborative solution-focused, results-orientated and systematic process in which the coach facilitates the enhancement of work performance, life experience, self-directed learning and personal growth of the coachee.” (Anthony Grant, University of Sydney, 2000)
Session Modus Operandi
Sessions conducted via land-line telephone or voice over internet video call (VoiP) i.e. MSN or Skype.
Coaching Packages Include:
- Cost of phone call to land-line telephone
- Email support between sessions.
- Extra booster sessions between main sessions are possible for clarification but I request these are kept to no more than 10 mins.
Monthly Package Money Back Guarantee:
For me your satisfaction is of the up-most importance. For that reason I offer a one time money back guarantee.
