</p><p>Welcome to my e modules for self coaching.  For those new to coaching working through these modules can prove to be an economic way to zone into important areas to bring to a coaching conversations.  It will bring to mind and highlight the areas you most want to work on.  These modules will often be incorporated into your home work outside your session.  So if you work on them prior to your coaching session, you will save time and money and reach your goals more quickly.</p>

<h2><strong>Personal Identity projects</strong></h2>
<p><a href="http://balancedlife-coaching.com/eskills/wheel-of-life-coaching/" target="_blank">Wheel of life coaching</a> - This project allows you to highlight the areas of your life that need work in sessions</p>
<p><a href="http://balancedlife-coaching.com/eskills/values-coaching/" target="_blank">Core Values Coaching</a> - This project allows you to discover and check what your core values are and to what degree they are important to you.  This can also allow you to discover the values you need in a passionate or business relationship.</p>
<p><a href="http://balancedlife-coaching.com/eskills/strength-and-values-in-action-inventories/" target="_blank">Strengths and VIA (Values in Action) Inventories</a> – When you understand your strengths and work towards them you are destined for happiness.  This project allows you to discover them and work with them. VIA (Values in Action) – This allows you to understand how your values work for you.</p>
<h2><strong>Living the life you love projects</strong></h2>
<p><a href="http://balancedlife-coaching.com/timemanagement/" target="_blank">Basic Time Management</a> -  Everyone will benefit with a crash course in time management.</p>
<p><a href="http://balancedlife-coaching.com/timemanagement/goal-setting/" target="_blank">SMART Goal Setting</a> -  This gives you more information to ensure you set smart goals.</p>
<p>Ones you have reached this stage and reflected it would be useful to take on a one off session.  Bringing any areas you have discovered are not quite working for you. Where motivation is missing or you are experiencing procrastination.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p></p><p>We are all individually unique, our experiences of the world are distinctly varied, featuring many random chance events, through our experience we build unique models of our own reality. These models influence our thinking patterns and behaviours.  These are both behaviours we want to maintain and develop plus behaviours and patterns we may want to change.</p>
<p>Clean language honours your uniqueness. When we explain our reality, we use metaphors such as <em>&#8220;between a rock and a hard place&#8221;, &#8220;time keeps running away&#8221;, &#8220;I&#8217;m in touch&#8221; </em>and many more subtle versions. When explored it is possible to shine a light on systems of thinking. Clean language allows <strong>you</strong> to explore <strong>your</strong> personal thinking system giving <strong>you</strong> insight into yourself, your personal resources and your behaviours. The questions are specially designed to remove the possibility of external influence during coaching on your thoughts, objectives or situation. As facilitator I reflect back your words to allow you to absorb yourself in your thinking, enabling you to step into your metaphoric world, <strong>letting you understand you</strong>.</p>
<p>Conventional coaching requires you to push for a goal and consciously make a change.  This can proof extremely difficult when you don’t understand what is blocking or stopping you.  Clean language on the other hand allows you only to state a desired outcome, then through an exploration of your metaphors you learn to understand your personal systems and memories of their origins may become apparent to you.  Opening you to the opportunity to adapt your system to serve you better or move past the system and create a completely new system.</p>

</p><p>Mindfulness means <strong>inner awareness</strong> but the word mindfulness is more closely associated as a meditation technique within Buddhism than coaching.  When used as a form of meditation, Buddhist monks focus attention on their steps as they walk, their food as they chew and their breath as well as chanting mantras. Since Buddhism is a philosophy rather than a religion it is easy to incorporate the techniques into everyday life.</p>
<p><strong>Benefits of Mindfulness</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>When used in everyday life mindfulness is an effective stress buster.</li>
<li>Very effective relaxation technique good to use when moving from work to home life.</li>
<li>It can assist in removing the excessive chatter that goes on inside ones head.</li>
<li>Changing negative thoughts into positive thoughts.</li>
<li>When practiced it can assist with focusing on a single task.</li>
<li>If practiced well practitioners can experience transcendence.</li>
</ul>
<div>It is particularly useful during these times of over stimulation with electrical devices and economic uncertainty.</div>
<p><strong>Some simple mindfulness Self coaching Exercises.</strong></p>
<p>How to add mindful inner awareness to your day.  Try practicing for 20 minutes twice a day.  It is important to remove all other interruptions for the period you choose to be mindful.  For your body to be truly mindful it is beneficial to practice prior to eating a meal rather than just after.</p>
<ul>
<li>Raise your awareness of a positive topic or assignment and focus only on topic.</li>
<li>Sit with your eyes closed and hum like a bee taking a breath through the nose when necessary or repeat a sound in your head which resonates positively with you.  Om is a commonly used mantra in meditation.</li>
<li>Sit with your eyes closed and concentrate on your breath. breath in for the count of 10 and out for the count of 1o.   It is important that when you take your breaths you are not only filling your chest but your stomach is rising and falling with each breath.</li>
<li>When cooking be mindful of what you are doing focus on the ingredients and cook with love and nutrition in mind.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>In coaching</strong></p>
<p>Experienced practitioners can offer guided meditations which can assist people with using mindfulness in everyday life.</p>
<p>Clean coaching techniques use a focusing technique which allows you to zone in on a topic or area you want to improve allowing you to tap into your inner knowing and intuition and discover new ways to approach situations.</p>

<p>Clean was developed by New Zealand Psychologist and Psychotherapist David Grove.  These tools are non-directive, meaning that the coachee finds the answers for themselves.</p>
<h2>Emergent Knowledge</h2>
<p>By using iterative and repetitive questions new insights can emerge in relation to the point of inquiry which is usually a goal, objective or a problem.</p>
<h2>Clean language</h2>
<p>Can be used during any coaching session to reduce directive influence on you the coachee, allowing you to find your own solutions.</p>
<h2>Clean space</h2>
<p>Some of the clean tools used will encourage movement.  By moving yourself or your point of inquiry to different spaces. You can gain a different perspective.</p>
<h2>The benefit of clean methods</h2>
<p>This particular method of coaching can reduce the number of sessions required considerably, to reach your goal, objective or solution to your problem.it is even possible that only one session is required to solve something which has plagued you for many years.</p>
<p>The clean method removes completely the influence of the coach entirely.</p>
